Shehnaaz Gill couldn’t believe the news of her love interest Sidharth Shukla’s death. The 40-year-old Balika Vadhu actor Sidharth Shukla was taken to Cooper Hospital this morning where he was declared dead. When the news reached singer-actress Shehnaaz Gill during a shoot, she left immediately for the hospital. Sidharth and Shehnaaz first met on the sets of Bigs Boss 13 in 2019 and became close.
Their chemistry was adored by the fans and was one of the factors keeping that season of Bigg Boss interesting. Even two years after Sidharth won the reality show, their jodi still enjoyed the same popularity. Fans lovingly gave them the name Sidnaaz. Though neither of them, or anyone close to them ever confirmed that they were dating, the two were seen spending a lot of time together and even celebrated important occasions with each other’s families.
Sidharth celebrated his 40th birthday on 12th December with his family members and Shehnaz at his home. Shehnaaz Gill enjoyed her 27th birthday on 27th January at a private party where Sidharth was present with his mother. The two even ushered in the new year together. Even though the two always maintained that they were best friends, it was hard to miss the chemistry between them.
After their closeness on the popular reality show Bigg Boss, the social media darling couple also appeared together as special guests in Bigg Boss OTT and on dance reality show Dance Deewane 3. Their popularity was such that it led to a film titled Silsila Sidnaaz Ka: A Modern Fairytale to be aired on Voot. It revolved around the rise and fall of thecouple, their romance, friendship and bonding and even included some previously unseen footages from Bigg Boss.
Their Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Himanshi Khurana paid condolences and said she was sorry for Shehnaz.
She wrote,”Kahani aise khatam hui ki sab ro diye taliya bjate (the story ended and everyone broke into applause with tears in their eyes) #ripsidharthshukla. I’m thinking about Shehnaz what she’s going through … my love I wish main apke lie waha hoti (I wish I was there for you).”
While talking to SpotboyE, Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh quoted, “I am not in the condition to talk right now. I cannot believe whatever has happened. I spoke to her. She is not fine. My son Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to be with her and I will be going later.”
Lets’s all pray that Sidharth and Shehnaaz Gill’s family storm these tough times.
